I. Tournament Rules

1. A. Eligibility
   • 1. 21+ welcome
   • 2. Registration on-site @ 7pm
2. B. Entry Fee
   • 1. $5 per player
   • 2. Compete on Royal’s Switch console and bring home the pot, access to arcade games.
3. C. Format
   • 1. Single elimination, Double elimination if 10 or less entrees.
   • 2. 1v1
   • 3. 3 minutes
   • 3 Stock
   • No items
   • Final Match - 1v1, 3 min, 3 stock, no items.  Best of 3.
4. D. Equipment
   • 1. B.Y.O.C. (Bring your own controllers) welcome.
   • 2. Games will be played on a Nintendo Switch connected to a flat scree monitor mounted on a wall.
5. E. Prizes
   • 1. Winner gets the cash pot, 2nd place gets their entry fee back.

In a single-elimination tournament with 20 competitors, there will be a total of 19 matches. Each match consists of a 1v1game lasting 3 minutes.

Considering the time it takes to set up matches between players, switch players, and some potential downtime, we can estimate that each match might take around 5 minutes to complete.

Estimated tournament duration = 5 minutes/match × 19 matches

Estimated tournament duration = 95 minutes

So, based on these estimates, the tournament with 20 competitors following a single-elimination format and 3-minutematches would take approximately 95 minutes (or 1 hour and 35 minutes).
